As well as representatives of regional and national institutions of the different faculties of Medicine of the Valencian universities. Between the attendees we can include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.umh.es\/contenido\/Estudiantes\/:persona_5319\/datos_en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antonio Compa\u00f1 Rosique<\/a>, Dean of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.departamentomedicinaclinica.edu.umh.es\/en\/\">Faculty of Medicine<\/a> of the University Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez,<\/li>\n<li>Jos\u00e9 Luis \u00c1lvarez Sala Walther,\u00a0president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cndmedicina.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Conference of Deans of Spanish Faculties of Medicine<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>Alejandro I\u00f1arra Navarro,\u00a0president of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ceem.org.es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Council of Students of Medicine<\/a>,<\/li>\n<li>Javier Chorro Gasc\u00f3, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uv.es\/uvweb\/medicine\/en\/faculty-medicine-odontology-1285849537235.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Valencia<\/a> and,<\/li>\n<li>Rafael Ballester Arnal,\u00a0Dean of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uji.es\/estudis\/oferta\/base\/graus\/2015\/medicina\/?urlRedirect=https:\/\/www.uji.es\/estudis\/oferta\/base\/graus\/2015\/medicina\/&amp;url=\/estudis\/oferta\/base\/graus\/2015\/medicina\/&amp;urlRedirect=https:\/\/www.uji.es\/estudis\/oferta\/base\/graus\/2015\/medicina\/&amp;url=\/estudis\/oferta\/base\/graus\/2015\/medicina\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Faculty of Medicine of the University Jaume I of Castell\u00f3n<\/a>,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What were the conclusions of the conference  at UMH about Opening of new Medicine faculties?<\/h2>\n<p>In words to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.diarioinformacion.com\/universidad\/2018\/03\/03\/cumbre-decanos-medicina-nueva-facultad\/1994708.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">diario informaci\u00f3n<\/a>, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the UMH, <strong>Antonio Compa\u00f1<\/strong>, pointed out that: &#8220;the opening of new medical faculties is not a local problem, it&#8217;s state problem&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The existence of new faculties that offer degrees in Medicine in our country would be at the expense of the number of MIR vacancies.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The reduced number of specialized vacancies<\/li>\n<li>excess demand for students for the number of MIR vacances announced,<\/li>\n<li>difficult doctors coverage in rural areas,<\/li>\n<li>lack of knowledge of the number of doctors in active,<\/li>\n<li>the lack of information on the number of retirements,<\/li>\n<li>reduction of quality of hospital practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are some of the claims on the part of the <a title=\"National Conference of Deans of Spanish Faculties of Medicine\" href=\"http:\/\/www.cndmedicina.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">\u00a0Conference of Deans of Spanish Faculties of Medicine<\/a>.\u00a0In 2017, 14.450 candidates for 6,500 MIR vacancies were called.
