During the summer, students of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umh.es\/?lang=EN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a> of different specialties have participated in the cooperation program.<\/p>\n<h2>What is the UMH program of development cooperation in Rwanda about?<\/h2>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16596 size-full\" title=\"Students and volunteers from the UMH participate daily in medical and educational activities in the hospital and the school of Nemba in Rwanda\" src=\"http:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.edu.umh.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1455\/2018\/07\/Clases-voluntariado-UMH-Ruanda.png\" alt=\"UMH student class blackboard school development cooperation in Rwanda\" width=\"755\" height=\"507\" srcset=\"https:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.umh.es\/files\/2018\/07\/Clases-voluntariado-UMH-Ruanda.png 755w, https:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.umh.es\/files\/2018\/07\/Clases-voluntariado-UMH-Ruanda-300x201.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>UMH students have been able to participate in the <strong>8th Edition of the program of development of volunteering<\/strong>.This is the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/internacional.umh.es\/en\/quienes-somos\/servicio-de-relaciones-internacionales-cooperacion-al-desarrollo-y-voluntariado\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Development and Volunteer of the Vice-Rectorate of international Relations UMH Cooperation Service<\/a> who organizes the project in the African country.<\/p>\n<p>In July, students of the UMH do different cooperation activities. Mainly, we can talk about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>development of actions and training of Computer Science and Mathematics activities with teachers and students of <em>schools of Nemba in Ruhengeri<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>support in Maternity, Paediatrics and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.departamentomedicinaclinica.edu.umh.es\/psiquiatria\/\"> <strong>Psychiatry<\/strong><\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nembadh.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Nemba hospital<\/a> e <\/li>\n<li>workshops on hygiene for health professionals in the Hospital of the city centre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What other activities are performed in the UMH program of development cooperation in Rwanda?<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16595 size-full\" title=\"Students of Physical activity Sciences and Sport are volunteers who work in leisure and educational activities at the school of Nemba in Rwanda\" src=\"http:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.edu.umh.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1455\/2018\/07\/Clases-voluntariado-artes-marciales-UMH-Ruanda.png\" alt=\"Classes martial arts courtyard development cooperation in Rwanda UMH\" width=\"759\" height=\"505\" srcset=\"https:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.umh.es\/files\/2018\/07\/Clases-voluntariado-artes-marciales-UMH-Ruanda.png 759w, https:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.umh.es\/files\/2018\/07\/Clases-voluntariado-artes-marciales-UMH-Ruanda-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 759px) 100vw, 759px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, volunteers teach martial arts to the students in the school. The main objective lies in taking control and awareness of their own body. In addition to determining the emotional regulation throught by physical exercise.<\/p>\n<h2>What is the origin of the UMH program of development cooperation in Rwanda?<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-16594 size-full\" title=\"Students of Medicine, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, and Occupational Therapy of the UMH involved teaching at the school of Nemba in Rwanda\" src=\"http:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.edu.umh.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1455\/2018\/07\/Clases-educacion-secundaria-voluntariado-UMH-Ruanda.png\" alt=\"Rwanda development cooperation classes UMH secondary education\" width=\"757\" height=\"504\" srcset=\"https:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.umh.es\/files\/2018\/07\/Clases-educacion-secundaria-voluntariado-UMH-Ruanda.png 757w, https:\/\/departamentomedicinaclinica.umh.es\/files\/2018\/07\/Clases-educacion-secundaria-voluntariado-UMH-Ruanda-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 757px) 100vw, 757px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe agreement of cooperation between volunteers from the UMH and Rwanda began in <strong> 2002<\/strong>. It started with a project in an area of Maternity in the <em>neighborhood of Katindo<\/em>. Later, it continued with the construction of a nursing school in Ruhengeri. Each year more than 50 professionals in Health Sciences are formed in their facilities. All the efforts of the institutions of the University Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez of Elche (Spain) has resulted in the creation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umh.es\/contenido\/pdi\/:uor_9038\/datos_en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Chair UMH in Rwanda.<\/a>\u00a0This is basically focused on an institutional element of link, study, promotion and training projects.
