ECOE Sixth Degree Medicine UMH took place last week with a success of participation with students and faculty. The long-awaited ECOE is the global test of Objective Clinical Assessment and Structured (ECOE). This is the third time that is organized in the Department of Clinical Medicine of the University Miguel Hernández. After that, was held on the premises of the University Hospital of Sant Joan d’Alacant (Spain) .
What does the ECOE Degree Medicine UMH tests for students mean?
These mandatory tests for students could be part of the “ingredients of a good doctor” premise. The ECOE materialize in a final test in 6th course of the degree of Medicine of the University of Alicante. In this event, the future medical professionals face 20 clinical different situations in the daily work of those responsible for the health sciences. Some of the examples developed in the different seasons were:
- A man in cardio-respiratory shock,
- a patient who comes to gynaecology consultation
The scenarios faced students, are coordinated by groups of professors of Medicine of UMH. They have also been supervised by ( SIATDI Service of Technical Support to Teaching and Research and Innovation) for the collection of statistical data. Scenarios, called STATIONS, belong to current clinical situations. José Manuel Ramos corner was one of the professors of the Department of Clinical Medicine in charge of the coordination of the tests.
Where was the ECOE Sixth Degree Medicine UMH test held?
Basically, the objective and structured clinical assessment tests took place in two areas of the Health Sciences Campus. On the one hand, it was in different of the units of the Department of Clinical Medicine of University Miguel Hernández. Six of the offices were fitted out for the development of the ECOEs. Over the weekend, the facilities of the University Hospital of San Juan of Alicante welcomed students, professors and volunteers.
